Don’t Just Think PVCu!

Orangery Installation Lancashire

Monday 4th January 2016

While the vast majority of conservatories and Garden Rooms in the UK are installed with PVCu windows and doors, there is an increase demand for aluminium as an alternative material.

Inspired by the likes of Grand Designs and loved by architects, aluminium has gained in popularity as it has a number of key features. It can be powder coated in literally hundreds of different colours and because it is far stronger from a structural point of view, is designed with slimmer sightlines and that means bigger glass areas in which to enjoy the world outside.

Aluminium windows are often found in more contemporary installations, with the most popular colours being grey, black and white. Bi-folding doors in particular are better suited in aluminium as it’s a stronger material in which to house multiple panes of glass and allows for a greater passage of light. These bi-folding doors can range from small 3 pane opening up 5, 6, 7 or even 8 panes and can cover a large expanse.

If you want to make a real feature of your conservatory, Garden Room or even our latest UrbanRoom, then aluminium would be our recommended choice, though there is a small but certainly worthwhile premium. But if you want the ultimate in style and luxury then you’ll need to look at our newly launched composite window product.

This is a hybrid product that benefits from the high performance and longevity of aluminium to the outside with the rich beauty of timber to the inside and is available in a wide range of window designs, French doors, bi-folding doors and conservatory and lantern roofs. The installation of a conservatory replacement in Lancashire shows the versatility of our composite aluminium product. It’s the real Rolls Royce of products for the style conscious consumer and one looking to make a real statement and investment to their property. So don’t just think PVCu!
